Cold n Hot

I know Penang is a state full of enthusiasm and passionate people
But I never know that the weather can be so hot!!
The sun blazing down and I feel that I can melt in any minute.
Woosh, in such a hot weather, why not grab something cold? or maybe frozen? ;)
Here it is! Frozen yogurt!
Me n my family went to Straits Quay the other day to visit the Sketchers Fair
N stopping by this shop to get a break and cool ourselves down
This shop is called "Fruuze" and sells frozen yogurt, parfait and so on.
My mum told my bro that I used to visit this shop often when I get to come to Straits Quay.
Really?? I just remember my first time visit before I went to KL for college.
It looks like I have short term memory huh? haha
Anyway this is really one of my favourite frozen yogurt place despite the slightly expensive price.

Too bad this time we went quite late and they are running out of fresh fruits.
So i decided to go for a banana split parfait
N my bro ordered a blueberry frozen yogurt with choc and marshmallows as the toppings
A funny incident happened where the cashier return us a balance of RM40 plus instead of RM20 plus that it should be. Haha
Luckily we realised and notified her, if not the poor cashier will have to pay for this at the end of the month.

Banana Split Parfait. Yummy!

My bro ordered a blueberry frozen yogurt + choc + marshmallow

After our so called "sweet escape" (escape from the hot weather xD)
we were thinking where to go for dinner.
I suggested to have something hot: steamboat (hot pot)
Inside Straits Quay, there is actually a buffet steamboat & bbq restaurant, serving the food on a "sushi belt".
However, we went there before and we want to try something new.
I browsed through the web and found out that there is a new steamboat shop near Burmah Road.
So we headed there and ta-da! Heritage Steamboat!

It says on the notice board outside the shop that it is RM28.80 per person for the buffet steamboat.
So went in and the waiter is so nice to introduce us to the food and soup base selections.
As this is our first time there, he brought us to the food area and explain to us.
We started our steamboat night with choices of vege, mushroom, pork (not halal), chicken and so on.
My parents like to put everything in at one time and we laughed and said that it is their old style Haha

We had a great time indeed, chatting with laughter and nice food along the night.
Me n my mum fell in love with the pork slices as it is so nice!
One after another, as if we can't feel our full stomach
We did "shabu-shabu style" for the pork slices and there it goes, Yummy!!
I realised that not only me, all my family members can really eat a lot!
Maybe it is genetical? Haha

See, my bowl is never empty!
Only china tea is free flow at that restaurant
But we are not into "china tea mood" that night.
So my parents ordered a Home Signature Coffee which costs us RM10 (slightly overpriced)
I love the coffee cup that they use, which nowadays seldom people using that cup
And me, ordered my favourite ice lemon tea haha
it came out to be heaven & earth's LOL

Love that type of coffee cup <3
One interesting thing is that I noticed there is "siew mai", one type of dim sum in the food area
Well, no harm trying right?
First time putting siew mai into steamboat haha
And it came out tasting not bad!
See the yellow and green thing in the soup? That's it! :D

Up to my surprise, my mum ate a lot of meat that night!
As she was a vege-woman all this while, and she broke her record that night
*Thumbs Up!*
I can say that the food is nice, and soup base is super nice.
However, it will be greater if there are more seafood choices. (according to my mum)
The bill came out to be approx. 200! o.O
We did not know that the soup is charged separately
FYI, if you ordered the normal soup or yuan yang (half spicy half clear soup),
there is no extra charge. But if you order the special herbal soup, it will be charged according to the price.
Our soup costs us RM58. I feel that it is overpriced for one pot of soup even though the soup is nice.

My happy + full parents ;)

But first, let me take a selfie!
